Virtual exhibitions to venture into the past

Delve into over a century of Canadian history by closely observing an impressive selection of works from 1867 to present day. 150 Years | 150 Works: Canadian Art as Historical Act, by the Galerie de l’UQAM, retraces and revisits our past through art.

Visit Fort Odanak: 1704-1759. The Search for Traces of a Fortified Abenaki Village to follow archaeologists on their quest to uncover the vestiges of this strategic Indigenous site. The exhibition, produced by the Musée des Abénakis, details the scientific approach used for the archaeological digs and tells the story, past and present, of this First Nation.

Learn all about the Quiet Revolution from the Musée POP in the exhibition entitled The Beginning of a New Era! Images and short stories that unveil the magnitude of the 1998 Ice Storm are presented by Hydro Québec in Ici January.

A visit to collections from storage is offered by the Musée de la nature et des sciences de Sherbrooke. Take a virtual stroll behind the scenes at the Museum and discover the wide variety of specimens in storage there: plants, animals, minerals and even curiosities of nature!
